
About Katie
Katie began teaching Barre Bootcamp classes in 2018 at Loyola University Maryland, where she led the fitness program, taught virtual classes during COVID, and organized collaborations with local nonprofits. In 2023, she became a certified Spin instructor and started teaching cycling classes in Philadelphia, later earning her Yoga Sculpt Certification through CorePower Yoga. She currently teaches Barre at Lumos Yoga & Barre and Yoga Sculpt at CorePower Yoga.

Katie’s goal is to spread joy, mindfulness, and a love of movement through her classes. Whether it's yoga, spin, or barre, she believes a class filled with fun music and free from phones or distractions can be the best part of someone's day—and she’s passionate about sharing that feeling with others.
Outside the studio, Katie loves running and reading. She has completed the TCS New York City Marathon (’23 & ’24) and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon (’24). Katie is also a former middle school English Language Arts teacher and holds a Bachelor's in English Literature and a Master's in Education Policy.
